We decided to take a closer look at one of our best sellers, and using what we learned from developing the Survivalist Hatchet. The Super Naturalist has an FNC treated 4140 “ordnance tool steel” head weighing in at 17oz. The 4140 steel holds its edge very well. The FNC treatment adds incredible corrosion resistance and blackens the steel. The weight is great for improved handling control and quicker swings. The curved bit for makes for better chopping and deeper cuts. We feel that this hatchet is truly befitting of the Survivalist's little brother. Works incredibly well for yard work, bushcraft, construction, camping, drywall, you name it.
Weighs in at just under 17oz of steel mounted on an 18″ curved hickory handle. Bit is 3-1/4″ long, over all head length is 7″.
